Leah's project, Folded Self, created for her typography course at CCA, is an exploration of contrasting emotions presented in two pairs of faces. Each face is a canvas of emotions, with some exposed on the surface and others hidden within the folds. Her bold choice to incorporate vibrant emoji elements creates a striking contrast that draws the viewer's attention. Large areas of highly saturated colors and uplifting emojis immediately catch the eye, but upon closer examination, the darker shades and shadowy regions reveal the raw and authentic thoughts and emotions of the speaker.
